HOW TO BUILD LONG TERM SUCCESS FOR YOUTH ATHLETES

It’s obvious to most parents that their young athletes should participate in a wide variety of sports.  Early exposure to as many different athletic opportunities as possible puts them in the best position to succeed as an adolescent athlete. The more your young kids can run, jump, hop, skip, roll, and just enjoy being a kid, the better.

That being said, things start to become difficult during the adolescent years. Rapidly growing bodies become susceptible to injury; higher levels of competitive sports start to demand more from our kids, and inevitably, the pressure of progress starts to weigh down on our young athletes shoulders. This condensed period of chaotic change creates an environment where most kids are set up to fail. They are pushed too hard, for too long, and unfortunately, they break. 

Optimizing their athletic potential off the filed is one of the best ways to manage the newly added pressures of multiple sports, multiple training sessions, school and a social life. Teaching the young athletes how to properly run, jump, land, push, pull, and carry, will develop their resilience to injury. HOW IT WORKS

Our Rising Athlete Development Program (RADP) improves athleticism to support the physical demands of sport as kids grow into teens. The RADP helps 12-14 yr old athletes of all levels sharpen mental skills, learn proper nutrition habits, bulletproof their physical weaknesses, decrease injury risk, build strength/power, and develop speed to set them up for long-term athletic success. What doesn't get measured, doesn't get improved: Youth athletes are rarely provided with the objective feedback on their athleticism that’s needed to improve their athletic potential. Because of this, most youth athletes enter the later teenage years under conditioned, lacking physicality, and lacking athleticism. They often feel a step slower than their counterparts and are regularly overshadowed by the more 'naturally gifted athletes'.

Our Rising Athlete Development Program helps rising adolescent athletes stand out so they can emerge as champions. Objectively measuring their current athletic ability is the first step. Throughout the course of this assessment process, we help our rising athletes:

  • Pinpoint specific weaknesses that are holding them back;

  • Identify the hidden limitations in their performance and discover how to turn them into opportunities to be successful;

  • Uncover their X-factor strengths and other performance indicators that they're already doing well.

By the end of the testing experience, we'll know how to plan their training so they can rise to be a strong, fit, and resilient athlete ready to compete at a high level for a longer period of time.

DEVELOP YOUR ELITE MINDSET

Most young athletes are 'confidence' based athletes. Meaning, when they're confident, things go well. They play relaxed and they walk away smiling. When they’re confident, things seem to come naturally. However, when they lack confidence, their performance really suffers. Their head drops, they become anxious or nervous, and they ultimately fall out of love with the sport they’ve come enjoy so much. Developing mental toughness through our ELITE Mental Performance Training is the key to our rising athletes performing at their best during the moments it counts the most… when things get hard and don't go their way. We help our young athletes rise to the occasion when the pressure is on and the lights are shining bright. Our Mental Performance Training helps them turn dreams to reality by developing the grit and self-belief to see them through any pressure filled situation. This program will take into account their weaknesses, strengths and hidden limitations, and seamlessly fit their training program into a schedule that works best for you (them). With all of the preparation for training complete, it's now time to get to work and prepare for competition. Your child will join our Rising Athlete Development Program (RADP) as a 1:1 client or join up to 8 other junior athletes (small group training session) who want the same thing… to become a better athlete and succeed in their sport!

  • Under the guidance of our expert coaching and performance staff, they will complete their training program at our state-of-the-art facility. Every session, they'll take a small step forward to improving their athleticism.

  • These small wins stack up over time until finally, they’ve reached the point where they're stronger, faster, better conditioned, and more athletic. Events that would otherwise injure them, don't. Events that used to rattle their confidence, don't. Events that previously would make their head drop, now make them more determined. Our training philosophy for youth athletes is simple: Help our rising athletes become more athletic through adolescence to set them up for long term athletic success. We do this by adhering to our 5 pillars of performance

    Every athlete deserves to see the fruits of their hard labor. Using traditional assessment tools such as the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) as well as the latest technological advances such as Force Plates and 3D Motion Analysis, we test our athletes across the 5 domains that matter most; Injury Risk, Movement Quality, Strength, Power/Force, and Speed. Asa the old saying goes: “What doesn’t get measured, doesn’t get improved.”

    Nutrition is essential for supporting an athlete's general health and their training needs. Having a suitable diet provides athletes with enough energy and nutrients to meet the demands of training and exercise. In addition to helping an athlete perform optimally, it facilitates recovery.

  • ☆ Mental Skills

    An athlete’s mental skills and internal processes powerfully impact their performance emotions, behaviors and outcomes.  Mental performance training is strength and conditioning for the mind that optimizes athlete well-being and performance.

  • ☆ Performance Training

    Sports performance training is training designed specifically to increase performance and minimize injury for general sports performance as well as specialized sports performance. Sports performance training is different from fitness and bodybuilding training in that the end goal is not to look better or have better over all health, but to improve athletic performance specifically.

    Adequate recovery has been shown to result in the restoration of physiological and psychological processes, so that the athlete can compete or train again at an appropriate level. Recovery from training and competition is complex and typically dependent on the nature of the exercise performed and any other outside stressors.
