THE SECRET TO GETTING YOUTH ATHLETES FASTER
Here’s what our research has shown: The biggest gains in speed are made by the athletes who consistently train speed between the ages of 14 and 18. What does that mean? Simply stated, in an annual calendar- the athletes who allocate 3 months to speed training and development had the bigger overall increase in speed compared to those who sporadically/inconsistently trained.

WHY IS STRENGTH TRAINING FOR SOCCER ATHLETES IMPORTANT?
…soccer ranks high in injury rates (defined as the number of injuries per 1000 hours of player activity time), higher than field hockey, volleyball, handball, basketball, rugby, and boxing.¹ Most of these injuries occur in the lower extremity and during the competitive season.¹ What is even more surprising is the fact that most injuries to soccer players are non-contact. It is not the sliding, tackling, and colliding into other players that causes the most injury. It is the running, twisting, turning, jumping, and shooting that were linked to the most injuries.
THE IMPORTANCE OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING FOR THE YOUTH ATHLETE
Besides overall health and management of lifestyle factors, why else is strength and condition important for the youth athlete? Most importantly, it sets up a foundation for the younger athlete to build and grow upon. Many kids jump straight into sports once they are at the appropriate age. Through this experience they naturally develop skills and learn the movements associated with their specific sport. However, oftentimes, youth sports teams do not work one on one with a strength and conditioning coach. Therefore, these kids do not ever properly build a foundation of strength, not just strength in their muscles, but also strength of their joints, ligaments, and bones.

GET STRONGER, FASTER, AND MORE EXPLOSIVE WITH THE FRENCH CONTRAST TRAINING METHOD
The key difference between the French contrast method and complex and contrast training is its utilization of a number of methods for explosive development of the athlete. The French contrast method, using a four-exercise protocol, pushes the physiological response of the athlete further, forcing the utilisation of alactic and anaerobic work capacity to increase.
CRYOTHERAPY AND RECOVERY
Cryotherapy, also known as cold therapy, is a recovery tool using cold, near-freezing, or freezing temperatures in different forms to help the body recover from stress, trauma or injury, and exercise. Cryotherapy has been used for centuries, even dating back to 2500 BCE as a way to treat injuries, decrease pain, and alleviate swelling. Now, in more modern times, it is also used to help overcome muscle soreness from an intense workout.
SLEEP AND PERFORMANCE
Humans are the only living creature that voluntarily chooses to skip out on sleep, thinking it will help them get ahead of their long to do list. But this couldn’t be further from the truth.
There is an undeniable amount of research on sleep and the positive effects on overall health and wellness. Sleep is even gaining popularity in being considered another vital sign for humans to monitor.
